Matthew 25:40 (CEV) The king will answer, "Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me."
Based in the heart of Ridgewell, Chapel Community Care is a small but dedicated volunteer-led service providing care and support to individuals in the villages between Braintree, Sudbury, and Haverhill. Whether you're feeling lonely, grieving, elderly, or simply in need of a friendly face, a helping hand, or honest advice, we are here for you.
Chapel Community Care began at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic when a few kind-hearted locals stepped up to check in on neighbours with doorstep visits. What started as a safety check quickly became something much more meaningful. We saw the isolation and struggles people were facing, and we knew we had to do more.
Today, we are a team of 15 volunteers, offering support to those who need it most. From regular chats and check-ins to practical help and guidance, we’re proud to serve as a lifeline to many in our rural communities.
We are proud to work closely with local GP practices, who regularly refer individuals to us for community-based help. Our service fills a vital gap where more formal care systems may not reach, and we do it with heart.
With more than five years of experience supporting our local residents, we’ve grown into a trusted name in the community. Everything we do is built on kindness, empathy, and neighbourly care.
